Shotshell Limit

• Read & understand all MCSA Range Rules before using
• Check in with Range Officer to put up chains, close interior gate in order to segregate the Archery area
before using
• All Bows & Crossbows are handled with the same respect as firearms
• All shooting positions must be within the confines of the chained area
• All arrows can be used at targets only
• Arrows only knocked on the firing line & must be pointed at the ground or downrange
• Any arrows that land beyond the MCSA property line CAN NOT be retrieved
• Never draw the bow while it is pointed above the berm
• Never shoot beyond your line-of-sight
• Multiple shooters must shoot from common firing line
• When pulling arrows out of target,stand to one side & ensure that no one is directly behind you
• Use extreme caution when using broadheads. Be certain that they are adequately covered
when not in use
• A safe bow is one without an arrow nocked or close to the hand
• Cold Range: Nothing may be moved away from the firing line, bows must be on table at the firing
line, no handling bows or arrows. Crossbows must be de-cocked and unloaded.
• Hot Range: uncased bows may be moved to or from the line in a safe condition. Arrows may
be brought to the line.
• If the County is doing grounds maintenance on the adjacent property the Archery Range
will be Closed.
